Nephrite is tough but not indestructible, and it responds to how it is treated. A few habits will keep a piece looking right for decades.
Put jewellery on last. Perfume, hairspray, sunscreen and makeup dull the surface over time, so dress first and put your jade on at the end.
Keep it away from chemicals. Bleach, household cleaners and chlorinated pool water are the main culprits. Take your jade off before swimming, before a hot spring, and before cleaning the house.
Clean it simply. Wipe with a soft dry cloth after wearing. If it needs more, use lukewarm water and a drop of mild soap, then dry it fully. Never use ultrasonic cleaners or steam.
Store it separately. Jade scratches against metal and harder stones. Keep each piece in its own pouch or in the box it arrived in.
Avoid knocks and sudden heat. A hard fall onto tile can chip a bangle, and extreme temperature changes are best avoided.
Wear it often. Regular contact with skin gives nephrite its warm lustre. Jade that is worn simply looks better than jade that sits in a drawer.

收納時請單件分開放入絨袋或原裝禮盒，避免與金屬、硬度較高的寶石摩擦碰撞。
最後，多戴。和田玉與肌膚長期接觸會越戴越潤，這是放在抽屜裡的玉永遠做不到的。
